Haiku of the Week

Dont Forget

Jumping off of this week’s design based on Charlie Chaplin’s film, Modern Times, I decided this week’s haiku would be based on the film as well. But on one aspect of the film that has much more specific than a general concept and has a very specific and powerful message to tell.

In the final moments of the film, Charlie Chaplin in both action and musical composition reminds us to keep walking forward and to always smile. The song entitled “Smile” is a beautiful sentiment and melody that any time I listen to it lifts my spirits and inspires me. (Note: This song has also been put with lyrics and has been sung by several artists over the years. So go to YouTube and look it up!)

I firmly believe Modern Times is just as relevant today as it was over 60 years ago. In the 21st Century we are constantly being bombarded by obstacles that prevent us from fulfilling the life we wish to lead. So we must persevere, rising up, and moving forward. But, we most also do so with a smile on our face and positivity in our minds and hearts.

So enjoy your Friday, and remember to smile!
